The Seventh Street Garage Towing team is dedicated to assisting you in the expedited return of your vehicle. As they provide towing and storage services for many area police departments and each department has unique vehicle release requirements, they strongly encourage you to call the appropriate police department BEFORE coming to the facility to recover your vehicle. Please review your paperwork to identify the authority that directed your vehicle to be towed and contact them via the information below.
Many factors are involved in the timely and legal return of your vehicle. See below for the most common questions asked about vehicle releases.
Several options may be available to the owner of a vehicle who can’t afford the fees. You may be able to surrender the title to U.S. Tow at a reduced fee, however, you can’t have a lienholder on the vehicle when requesting to surrender your title.
You may also be able to surrender your title at no cost to you, but this option is only available within the first 24 hours a vehicle was impounded, and only under certain circumstances. Please come in to our office to discuss surrendering your title.
Please note: the registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for all charges incurred against a vehicle. You may not abandon your vehicle. If your vehicle has been sold at auction you will still be responsible for all charges that were not covered by the sale price.
Remember that the cost to remove your vehicle from impound increases daily.
Usually a vehicle that is being held for 30 days will only be released after the 30 days have passed. If you feel that your vehicle has been towed in error, you may request a vehicle impound hearing with the agency who towed your vehicle.
